ASAC operates on the traditional, ancestral lands of the Eno, Occaneechi, Tuscarora, Shakori, Sissipahaw, and Saponi Peoples. We pay respect to their elders, both past and present, who have been stewards of this land for generations. We engage in our work here with humility and reverence for the original peoples of this land and hold awareness of the legacy of violence, displacement, forced migration, and settlement.
